Glen Geiss (he/him) was born in Chicago, but after graduating from university he headed west to work in high tech. Glen spent 20 years as a software developer and engineering manager before deciding that he wanted work that felt more meaningful. That led him to a second career teaching Physics and Computer Science in local high schools. He taught in several schools, eventually closing out his 13-year teaching career at Oceana High School in Pacifica.

• What brought you to ACS?
  20 some years ago some friends invited me to my first Out to Eat.  It was incredible to see the LGBTQ+ youths’ leadership and energy supporting their community. I started volunteering a few years later. When Outlet moved under ACS I was really psyched about the expanded focus and joined the board. 
  
  
• If you could describe ACS in 3 words, what would they be
  Youth centric, life saving, community 
  
  
• When you were an adolescent, what did you want to be? 
  I’ve loved planes/flying since my first flight when I was 8.  I thought about becoming a pilot.
